Step 1: Order a review
Get started by clicking the Purchase tab on the site’s navigation bar, or by following this link.
Fill out the order form with basic information on your book, an email address at which you can be reached, and whether you would like a Standard Review ($395/completed in 7-9 weeks) or Fast Track Review ($495/completed in 4-6 weeks). Then, make sure to read through our policies, decide whether you’ll be mailing your book or uploading it as a PDF*, and click “Purchase Review.”
Once you have confirmed your order information, enter the information for your preferred method of payment and submit your order. You will then be asked to fill out a questionnaire with the details about your book such as genre, isbn, price and formats. Upon receiving your order, we will send you a response to the email address you provided, confirming receipt of your request.
(*Note — There is an additional $19.95 charge if you choose to upload your book in PDF format; many of our reviewers prefer to read a hard copy, and the fee covers the cost of printing out the book for them.)
Step 2: Submit your book
If you selected “Mail Physical Copy” on the order form, we ask that you send two copies of your published book to the BlueInk Review office at the address provided once your order has been completed.
If you selected to submit your book via “PDF Upload” on the order form, you will upload a PDF of your completed manuscript. Instructions on uploading a PDF copy of your book are provided following completion of your order.
Step 3: It’s our turn
Once we receive your book, we will assign your project to a professional reviewer who will read the complete book and write a full review (approximately 250-300 words). Our reviewers include journalists and editors from national publications, authors, librarians, literary panel judge, professors, and published researchers, as well as other professional reviewers. Step 4: Your review is ready
When your review has been completed, BlueInk Review will email a PDF copy of the review to the email address you provided. Once you have received a copy of the review, you will have 14 days to decide whether or not you would like the review to be published. If you would like to opt out of having the review published, email us at [email protected]
Once the 14-day approval period has expired, your book review will appear on our website. Reviews published on the BlueInk Review site will also be distributed to our partners, including Ingram, idreambooks and more.
