Patricia Moosbrugger

Patricia Moosbrugger started her career in publishing 20 years ago at Curtis Brown Literary Agency, where she worked with renowned children’s book agent Marilyn Marlow and later in subsidiary rights at Walker Publishing and Golden Books. The recipient of a grant from the Star Tribune company, she spent three years at the prestigious independent Twin Cities presses, Graywolf, Milkweed Editions and Coffee House, helping develop in-house subsidiary rights divisions. In 2000, she joined the Stuart Krichevsky Literary Agency, where she served for two years before starting her own agency. Patti Thorn

Patti Thorn was a 28-year veteran writer and editor at the Rocky Mountain News, which had a daily circulation of 300,000 at the time of its closing in February, 2009. She served the last 12 years of her tenure as chief book critic and editor of the book review pages. The section earned acclaim for its incisive and timely reviews, as well as for Thorn’s weekly column about books and the publishing industry. Thorn is the three-time recipient of first place awards for Arts and Entertainment Criticism from the Colorado Society of Professional Journalists. In addition, she is the co-author of Fun Places to Go with Children in Colorado, published by Chronicle Books. The book has enjoyed two printings and sold over 20,000 copies. She has also served as an independent editor for both fiction and nonfiction. Thorn is a graduate of Northwestern University’s prestigious Medill School of Journalism.
