A personal passion project in more ways than one, Kasia Karpinska-Sikorska’s unique honeymoon gift idea allows newlywed couples to be “open and honest with each other” so that they “reap the rewards over many, many happy years that follow.”  This slim volume, complete with charts, diagrams, and photographs, allows close friends of the couple to “challenge” newlyweds to specific intimate activities over the course of their honeymoon.

Not everyone will enjoy inviting bridesmaids into the bedroom, but for those who might, this book makes a game out of exploring each other’s bodies. Sections include dressing up in costumes, positions, sensual massage, and introduction to BDSM, among others. While mostly heteronormative in content, some ideas mentioned are explicitly for male/male or female/female couples, such as the “twin towers” or “scissor kiss” positions.  Innovative suggestions as to what might be used as sex toys so that the newlyweds don’t have to “explain pink fluffy handcuffs to airport security” are a fun bonus.

Mostly well-designed and easy to follow, an album like this is painless to pack and can even be downloaded instead. It would be helpful if the “dare cards” that are meant to be cut out could be sized evenly and placed on their own pages, so that cutting them out doesn’t impact other elements on the page.

Proud of her stamp of approval from the royal family, the author includes multiple photos of Prince Harry and his bride flipping through pages, where one picture would have sufficed to make her point.

While couples might not diligently keep score or write a record of their exploits, as intended, they are likely to get a few creative ideas and will appreciate the thoughtful “malevolent love” of their friends in bestowing this present.
